MPI works closely with professional service firms, universities, and information technology companies around the world, providing them with core data that can be used in a variety of ways—including:
The data is derived from MPI’s annual Manufacturing Study and includes responses from manufacturing firms and plants in NAICS 311 through 339.
Does MPI have industry-specific benchmarks? Download the industry vertical and sub-vertical breakdowns to see how many responses there are from your industry.
What manufacturing benchmarks are included? See a complete list of available benchmarks.
Data can be provided as an Excel or SPSS file and includes anonymous data for more than 1,000 companies in the U.S., gathered over the past four years. Metrics and best practice information are available for human resources, plant operations, capacity and equipment, supply chain, and green/sustainability initiatives.
About the data
The MPI Manufacturing Study uses an online and hard-copy questionnaire and, for the first time in 2012, a manufacturing research panel. Responses to the study are entered into a database, edited, and cleansed to ensure answers are plausible, where necessary. All respondent answers to the survey are anonymous. As an incentive, respondents who provide contact information after completing the study will receive complimentary access to an online benchmarking tool that contains the study data as well as an executive summary.
Discounts are available for qualifying academic research institutions and organizations. Contact the MPI Group at +1 216.991.8390 for more information.
