Project Description
Maturity Models
MPI has developed Maturity Models for a range of industries and performance objectives, defining overall excellence and incremental steps of process improvement required for organizations to move from one maturity level to the next. MPI’s Maturity Models help individuals and teams to identify performance gaps, implement solutions, and allocate resources to bridge those gaps, and advance in maturity through periodic reassessments of maturity.
For the ASCM Global Health Supply Chain Initiative—funded in part by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation—MPI delivered a simple, cloud-based Supply-Chain Maturity Model (MM) to help public, private, and NGO professionals dramatically improve performances across country, region, and community healthcare supply chains. MPI also developed a microsite that offers healthcare and supply chain professionals the tools necessary to:
- Use an easy-to-complete self-assessment tool to assess the maturity, performance, and gaps in specific healthcare supply chains.
- Leverage assessment outputs to develop meaningful, low-cost supply-chain improvement projects.
- Conduct post-assessment activities to sustain continuous improvement (e.g., tracking improvement projects, documenting outcomes, and updating stakeholders).
